The Reconditioning Process
First, we have hundreds of take-off Infiniti OEM wheels (original equipment manufacturer or 'factory wheels' for short), from all brands, delivered to our wheel shops almost daily. We choose a selection of Infiniti G Series wheels for refinishing.
Our techs submit the used take-off stock wheels to a series of stress tests to find their structural integrity, their true center, and their tolerance, to ensure the rims will operate and balance to factory and safety specs. In fact, if any of the stock rims show a crack or any severe defect, they are immediately scrapped or recycled.
When our Quality Control (QC) techs, approve a Infiniti G Series wheel for reconditioning, they will proceed to remove the previous used wheel finish. We acid-wash them and prepare the wheel surface for refinishing.
Refinishing a Factory OEM Wheel
We refinish OEM rims by applying the original factory color. Our finishers input the color code generated by Infiniti into a computerized colorizer to obtain the right tint. Consequently, we colorize the wheel by applying powder or liquid last-generation coating. Finally, we cover the wheel surface with a clear coating to maximize durability and protection to their finish.
