The Reconditioning Process
First, we receive hundreds of take-off Hyundai OEM wheels (original equipment manufacturer or 'factory wheels' for short), from all brands, delivered to our wheel shops almost daily. We choose a selection of Hyundai Genesis wheels for refinishing.
Our techs submit the used take-off stock wheels to a series of stress tests to find their structural integrity, their true center, and their tolerance, to ensure the rims will operate and balance to factory and safety specs. In fact, if any of the stock rims show a crack or any severe defect, they are immediately scrapped or recycled.
When our Quality Control (QC) techs, approve the Hyundai Genesis rims for sale to be reconditioned, they will proceed to remove the previous used wheel finish. We acid-wash them and prepare the wheel surface for refinishing.
